The Events application provides a convenient way to reserve locations
PLEASE NOTE
- Users must first have the privileges in their user account to Create New Events (see How to edit user privileges)
- Once an event is approved, the requestor can no longer make changes
- Event Scheduling must be enabled on the location edit page in order for it to be available for scheduling
- Event Categories and Calendars must already be set up for an event to be created
Events can be created by the members of any user group that has the privileges to do so.
Go to the Events Management screen and select Create Event.
Fill out all of the required information (indicated by a red asterisk). The Group drop down is not required, but allows you to select an outside group or organization. Please note, this is an external user group that must be set up under Users before hand. Please see more information about Users here.
There is also an option to select Set as Blocking Event which would ensure that no other events subsequently created could be scheduled at the same time. The ability to use this option is controlled by the Create Blocking Events privilege.
Once the required fields have been satisfied, the NEXT button will allow you to proceed to the next step.
The Locations/Timing screen will allow you to chose the date and time you want to reserve specific location(s). The ability to use the toggle to Set as Recurring Schedule is controlled by the Schedule Recurring Events privilege.
Once the required fields have been satisfied, the NEXT button will allow you to proceed to the next step.
The Additional Information screen provides the option to add detailed answers to custom fields associated with the chosen Event Category or Calendar.
Once the required fields have been satisfied, the SUBMIT button will allow you to save your event.
