How to create assets

Requirements before getting started: 

• At least one asset category must exist. To create asset categories, please read the tutorial "How to create asset categories."
• User must have the privilege to create new assets. To make this change, please read the tutorial "How to edit user privileges."

1. Log in to your Q Ware application and navigate to Assets.

2. From the asset management interface, click the red create button at the bottom right hand side of the screen. 

3. Select "Create Asset" from the popup menu.

4. Complete each step of the asset create form. Make sure to fill in all required fields. There are 3-4 steps depending on if the form has been customized. The steps include: 

• Details - the demographic information relating to the asset
• Location (optional) - the location of the asset
• Additional Information (if customized) - the custom fields related to the assets selected category
• Attachments (optional) - the images and documents related to the asset

5. When complete, click submit to create the asset and return to the asset management interface.
